Marketplace posting rules

The Ann Arbor Marketplace is for real items, sales and offers in and around Ann Arbor. You need an account with a confirmed email address and must be 18 or older to post.

Every listing is reviewed

New and edited listings stay private until our team approves them. Listings can be rejected or removed if they break these rules, and anyone can report a listing.

Not allowed

• Cannabis and cannabis products
• Tobacco, vapes and nicotine products
• Alcohol
• Firearms, ammunition and weapons
• Prescription drugs
• Adult services
• Live animals
• Counterfeit or stolen goods
• Anything illegal

Be accurate

• Post only things you own or offers your business actually runs.
• Use your own photos and describe the condition honestly.
• Mark listings sold when they are gone. Each account can have up to 5 active listings.
• Car listings expire after 30 days unless renewed; sales and deals end after their last date.

Stay safe

Meet in public places, never send money in advance, and report anything suspicious. Messages are relayed by email; your email address is never shown on a listing.
